Playing with pastel and oil using the same photo reference. I started with a pastel painting trying to loosen up as I often get bogged down with details.
Then the oil. I did go back to more detailed renderings.

Besides being good at animals you're really good at thickets. lts tough to keep them from flattening out. The one in both white cow pictures is particularly good.
ReplyDeleteThat was in my need to work on folder. I also worked on keeping the style the same for the animal and the background. I don't know how one can change styles and keep it consistent throughout the painting, much like the forgers would have to do. Thanks for commenting.
