With Cherries on Top

This was submitted for a painting challenge which required you to paint something balanced. That is why the cherries are on the cup instead of in it.

Three Cherries 2

I painted this yesterday but did not get a photo taken. Working with these reds that are more on the blue end works better for me. I have added Cobalt blue to the shadows but use ultramarine with the white for the shadows in the background.

Cherry Present

I bought more cherries so I will probably be putting them in my paintings. I wasn't sure about the red and pink but I finally managed to make it work.

Three Cherries

I bought these cherries a week ago and they were starting to go bad. I decided to paint them to justify the $6 a pound I paid for them.

Riding the Trail to Shimek 2

This is a version of a previous painting. I edited the background quite a bit for the composition but the rider and horse are how they appeared in the photo.

Riding the Trail to Shimek

I went plein air painting with a friend at a local horse camp and this is one of the studies. Although it was a cloudy day I added a little sunlight.

You are probably wandering why I have not posted lately well I have been painting; sort of. I painted in Photoshop if that counts. I have the job of creating images for the local Sweet Corn Festival t-shirts which I draw in Photoshop.
