The Fairfield Arts Association's members show requires everyone to use the same format and type of painting panel. This year it is a 10" x 10" cradled wood panel. I applied gesso over the wood and sanded in between the layers of gesso. This was painted from a photo reference of a stream in Lacey Keosauqua state park. I did paint an 11" x 14" plein air painting at the time. This exhibit showcases the range of the artists' creativity. They give you free reign on subject and medium as long as you do not extend more than an inch from the panel.
