Practice commission

Working on a commission, I will paint several images to get one I am happy with. The proportions are off.

Young Dancer

The local Mexican Fiesta in going on. I took photos of the young dancers last year and this close up was photographed during the Mexican hat dance. Typically the dancers are from 12 to 16 years old.

Hannah Dives In

This is a little fun piece, 2.5 x 3.5 for the Daily Paintworks Challenge. My grandaughter jumping into the pool. In this one I used maskoid on the water drops.

This is the rough in for a painting. I used Alkyd Lite.

This is the latest painting. I used Liquin Fine Detail on this. I am not sure of the background, so it sets on my easel for now.

Young Lady

Painting children for me depends on my photography skills. I am not the best photographer so I will take at least a hundred photos. I study the photos for features and will draw maybe 20 sketches, then several small paintings, this is one of them.
