Early morning plein air painting in Rodeo Park is a great way to start the day. A lot of friendly walkers, some with dogs, one on the phone and some talking and getting their exercise with an encouraging friend.
That ought not to work with two similarly sized trees but the way you weave the deeper shadows and the lighter trail through them makes it work. Beautiful!
I noticed that after I finished. Actually the scene did not have equally sized tree groups. I believe I am supposed to edit the scene to fix the composition not the other way around. I guess it worked out anyway, thanks for commenting.

DeleteI agree with John! I love the play of brushwork too and value changes in the greens.
