Hydrangeas

Playing with my acrylics using airbrush medium and acrylic flow release medium. "Flow release is a surfactant. A surfactant is a concentrated surface-active liquid which reduces surface tension, thus improving wetting and increasing the flow of acrylic waterborne paints." It reduces the surface tension between the staining(paint/water) and the canvas/ Golden Acrylic website

  1. That's beautiful Carlene. Did the two mediums make the paint a bit more like watercolors?

  2. That was what I am after. Still working on it. I do know that too much flow medium can make the paint tacky. I have made the mistake before. A small amount to water.

  3. Clever you; you've created a lovely soft effect! This is a beautiful floral painting, and the tones in those blooms are a delight. Nice work, Carlene!
