I try to make these every year to give as gifts. I only managed to get 5 successful paintings. They are watercolor and ink on mat board, then sprayed with a fixative. The beads are strung on a needle then dipped into acrylic gloss medium. Then carefully pulled the needle out(that explains the crooked bead lines). Finally a layer of gloss medium over the image and bead, Sign on the back and attach clasp.
So beautiful and so creative. Thanks for sharing the tutorial!
ReplyDeleteI guess though the years I must have made a hundred of them.
DeleteThese are lovely.... ;)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment. I probably throw half out but with this small size not a lot of material waste.
DeleteThese will be great gifts - beautiful paintings !!
ReplyDeleteThanks for commenting. I have given them away and occasionally someone leaves one on and it goes through the wash. When I give them away to everyone who want them I may start over again with those that lost them in the washing machine.
