Buckskin

SOLD

This is one of the horses from the previous painting. I started painting this one at an event at the local art center. I had to fix it when I got home. The event was part of the lead in to the local rodeo, so painting a horse sounded like a good ideal. But they are hard to paint and I edited the front legs from the original photo. I guess I got in over my head.
9 x 12 oil on gessoed panel.

  1. The colors in this horse are gorgeous. I love the way the sky is reflecting as well as the sun. It takes a lot of skill and knowledge to paint horses as well as you do, Carlene.
