Portrait sketches

Sketching seems to help me break out of a slump when I start painting too tight and don't see the whole picture. This was painted from a photo taken a long time ago. I used a variety of charcoal and graphic pencils for this one.
This might seem familiar as it is the same as a previous post. I had promised the sitter a sketch for signing the model release. I used the standard no 2 pencil for this one.
