recent paintings

Commission to go with a previous painting of  another dog. I started with a burnt sienna mixed with liquin and painted into this. This method was how I created the first painting

Fall at Wilson lake this year has not been as colorful. This is an opportunity to play with neutrals

  1. The Wilson lake picture has the feel of Van Gogh's crows over a cornfield. I heard or read somewhere it was supposedly his last painting or something? Anyway, hope it's not your last! Great job on these dogs too.

    1. Thanks, although I don't think I am a Van Gogh I appreciate the encouragement. The dog is another one of Carroll's Aussies, cute dogs and fun to paint.
