Shimek Forest 2

When I plein air paint I have to change me view of colors. Since it is brighter outside I end up with muted colors.
I did take my dashound with me and he ran off. I called for about 10 minutes and he showed up coming out of the tall weeds.

  1. Looks very peaceful there. Nice composition and I like the muted colors. Glad your doggie came back!

  2. I agree with Kathleen. It looks so peaceful, and I find the muted tones very relaxing. Beautiful painting, Carlene.

P.S. I have a little dachsie, too. They are the best plein air partners. :)

  3. Hey Carlene, have you tried BestBrella? I think that's what it's called. They make umbrella's for artists which they claim clamp to any easel. You can check out the website and see if it'll work for you... might cut the glare off the paper and make it easier.
In fact... I think I'll check it out myself!
Haven't received the artist trading card yet and Monday is a holiday here (no mail), but I'm sure it'll arrive next week.
    Happy Painting.
