This young man is grown now with children of his own. When I was asked to paint this he was grown. I had to paint this from a old photograph. This is not my preferred approach but the client was a good friend.

Illustrated children's book

I

I had not been posting a lot lately. I was asked to illustrate a children's book so I was daily painting. As the readers of this blog know I am not a writer and jumped at the chance to illustrate.The illustrations are watercolor sometimes Photoshopped for editing. It just went to the designer so hopefully in a month it should be available.

Laughter in Costume

I went to a pioneer village looking for interesting subjects. There were many demonstrators, but this one scene appealed to me more. I started a painting of one of the demonstrators making bread and never finished it.
